This year, I was invited to teach on Get Messy, specifically to teach in their season of wonder:
These are distinctly different from the other courses I’ve taught on so far, because in addition to a full edited video + literature,
There’s LIVE content, from each teacher and a group session each month,
Classrooms are hosted on a dedicated website,
The lessons are varied in objective and can centre around all types of feelings/subjects,
Lessons are based on inspiration and guidance vs. instruction,
And I’m not the only South African ;)
This has got to be another one of my favourite lessons I’ve made this year!
Here’s a sneak peak into what I am teaching:
We explore anthropomorphism, and how I use it in my art,
How I examine and explore an object/subject in my sketchbook,
Ideas that make a final spread come together with more ease!
I will also see you in 2 live sessions this month, one of which happens this Saturday (where we create together with other members and teachers), and one next week, where it’s just me, going over my techniques and ideas!!!
Sounds like something you want to be a part of?
I love this lesson, it is a firm JUMP AND STOMP into the direction I want my teaching to move into!
It is filled with ideas on process, ideas on how to do YOUR art, how I think when I paint, and even has a behind the scenes video* which shows you how I work with my ADHD when I paint/and in general (*on the membership + option)

PS: Some amazing work has been coming in from Life Book, I will share some of that with you later in the week, but let me say - it fills me with so much wonder at the creative minds of others, and confidence that my teaching is moving in the right direction!
